Found Leo’s awesome channel googling “electronics for beginners”. watched lesson 1 yesterday and wanted to send a thank you email because I loved his slow, calm clear speaking voice and the diagrams in the videos. Found this forum/classroom and was amazed & impressed! Very excited to be here.
I was raised by a bunch of engineers, my parents are both chemists (dad is a chemical engineer, my mom leans more towards Biochem) uncle in computer science, another uncle was electrical at Ford plant, another uncle was nuclear operations, etc etc.
My daughter’s father studied electronics at RCC so I have seen some really cool stuff although sadly we lost him. Have hung around some backwoods inventors doing fascinating and esoteric stuff but ultimately I need to learn myself from first principles.
I own a raspberry Pi and we got an Arduino kit for Christmas and my daughters are finally old enough that I can dedicate my mind to learning properly.
