Hi And Greetings from Portland Oregon

My name is Timmy Girard I’m so excited to join Leos Bag of tricks. I’ve been a huge fan and actually built Leo’s Continuity Meter as one of my first projects! I LOVE that meter and use it all the time. I am somewhat of a nube and have tried to start into electronics multiple times but always got side tracked. I’m now retired from Software Development and really want to push forward. I love projects and would love to collab with someone in my knowledge range. I’m available if someone is local to me

I like:
Analog Audio repair (I just got my first vintage radio to recap… Eventually)
Music projects (I play Keyboards)
Digital projects (Want to understand and utilize chips more)
3D Printer projects

Looking forward to getting involved

Welcome to the LBOT community!

I have been thinking about a reboot of the Ultimate Continuity Tester.

The one thing that annoys me about the boxy simple unit I built is the fact that I need to take my eyes off the probes to see the LED, that’s breaking my flow.

This image is a concept I have been playing with: The tip has a transparent plastic light guide, with LED’s on the base PCB, it brings the light right to the tip.

You would plug a single banana probe into the back end, and that’s it.
The circuit would remain the same, just a mechanical redesign.
